Pray for School Shooting

It is a sad time around the US as many children and teachers had their lives stolen from them. The children were as young as 6 years old. Many of the teachers at the school are heroes. I'm really saddened by everything right now and just wanted to say something here about it.

It is a shame the man responsible can't be held accountable for what he did. Making those people suffer, he should be aloud to suffer here on Earth for his actions. But now he is suffering in another way. But then again, we don't know his relationship with God to say that but I'm sure it helps those involved to believe that. I just don't know.

But I do know one thing for sure. Those families have someone very important with them, helping them get through this ordeal. I don't know why one child or teacher was chosen over another but there was a reason for it. Only God knows why. Maybe he wanted to fill Heaven with their laughter. If anything, it will help knowing they are happy where they are. No more illness, no more pain, no more danger lurking in the shadows. They are watching us mourn with tears in their eyes. They will all see us again and will be rejoined with their parents and siblings, and friends.

Our lives will move on. We will become better people, live in their memories. We will do things in their honor. Lives are changed forever because of one man's actions but we will not (we cannot) let him win. Because then their lives with be for nothing. It will take some time to be better, mourning always takes time. And I pray for all of the families who lost someone at that shooting and I really hope all their hearts will heal. I also hope they don't lose God in this time of need.

As a parent, I know how I would feel if my babies were taken from me like this. I've lost loved ones in my life and I don't think they would compare to how I would feel if something like this would happen. So it tears me apart that other parents have to go through this.

All of you are in my prayers. God loves you!

16 Days To Christmas

Just a little over 2 weeks before Christmas Day! I'm not going to count the days down on the blog but I just wanted to point it out to you lol. I'm very anxious to see if there will be any snow on that day. I'm sure there will be somewhere.

Between now and the day before, there's a lot to be done. All those last minute shopping days. Stores are so busy this time of year. Sales coming out of the wazoo, just to get your attention. And then you have to be smart because some sales are to just get you in the store, then they attract you to other stuff that you don't really need but the price looks like its on sale when it really isn't just because of the location in the store. You have to be smarter than the store and they're counting on you not to be.

I can't remember where I heard it or read it but I learned that some stores anticipate how the shopper moves around the store so they place certain things in certain places around that path to get your attention first. I actually thought that was interesting. I guess you're suppose to head to the right once you're inside the store. When I heard that, I started thinking......I don't always head in the same direction. Sometimes I go straight into the store, sometimes to the left and sometimes to the right. In that case, the person who thought this "map direction" would be completely wrong for me. That means the things they intended for me to see first may never be seen at all because I don't always see the entire store before leaving. And I'm sure that's true for most shoppers.

So while you go shopping, remember their stragedy to get you to buy more and remember your own. Stick to what you went there for and don't get sucked into the "sales" scheme. Be sure to know the right price for the item before assuming its on sale. Items on end caps aren't always sale items. That's a shopping trap right there for instance. They are placed there for easier targeting for shoppers in a hurry for deals. But then again, I know you're smarter than that, right?

In other words, be safe. And have a very Merry Christmas!!!! And a Happy New Year!!!

Tis the Season to be Jolly.......

Well, I believe its officially Christmas season! Yahoooooo! Do you know what that means? It means SHOPPING! Yes, I yelled it lol. I so love to shop. But I'm a woman, I think I have an excuse lol. Speaking of shopping, have you started yours? Don't wait to the last minute because all those gifts on lists of your family and friends may have something on it that everyone else wants too which means that one item that could make or break your gifting could get sold out real quick. And I know you want to be at the top of your game, right? I know you do.

So get off your computer and go shopping! That's an order.

Happy Holidays!!!!

Beginning to Feel Like Christmas

It's beginning to feel like Christmas. What better way to get the feeling all the way around then to make my look show the Christmassy feeling lol. Now you'll have an idea how my next newsletter's going to look. Now look at what I've done, I've done spoiled it for you lol. Not really because there's more to it than the banner and this picture but the overall look is a surprise! You'll have to subscribe to get that look lol. And I hope you'll enjoy it!

I'm looking for artists for my New Year's issue so if you have something laying around in cyber world, send me an email titled (New Year's Issue Pics) and let's see what you've got. Include the name you use as an artist and links to your website, blog, or where ever you like being contacted as well as a very brief bio about how you began your artistry. I just want to do something a little special for that issue. I need to have everything by Dec 15 so I have time to add everything to the issue so get cracking lol.

Anyway, I really hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and a very happy Christmas! And if I don't see you by Jan 1st, have a very happy New Year as well! May your holidays be jolly and bright!

Love you all!

Welcome to my New Look

Well, after long thought, I decided to keep this blog after all lol. I will be joining this one with the new one to allow more information to be passed along the net. On the second blog is a list of books I've read along with new projects that I'm working on. And of course, I made the two sites look the same (almost).

I really would hate to lose the followers that I have established on this blog which is what drove me to keep it. I love you guys (and gals lol).

I am still changing my pen name though. That is, with the next published book lol. I am still Amber Rigby Grosjean, I'm just shorting the name to A. R. Grosjean. Kind of like Kentucky Friend Chicken changing their name to KFC. They were still the same company, just a shorter name lol.

I never got around to sending out my newsletter last year like I had wanted. Things got in the way--lost the laptop, couldn't afford a new one and couldn't get the information transferred to a library computer along with the software that I used to make it (the pdf file information). So now I have a laptop again and hopefully with God willing, I will begin the newsletters once more. I'm starting this month but it may be November before they actually go out. Keep your fingers crossed please.

The subscription is open. Please use the same box on the right to subscribe or you can just email me at argrosjean@hotmail.com

I want to thank everyone!
